About Leonela
Hi, my name is Leonela, and I have always been passionate about sharing the gifts God has given me to the world. I was born in Texas, raised in Mexico and moved back to Austin, TX at the age of 11. Soon after, I began my journey into the Musical theatre world.
Early teen age years
At the age of 12. I joined ZACH Theatre, the place that changed my life. There I was challenged to grow and learn skills that have continuously given me more passion for the craft, and have made me developed skills that continue to be polished till this day.
Now
God has given me the honor of owning multiple businesses related to the performance world, as well as given me the opportunity to train in prestige schools under gifted instructors such as: Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, Broadway Dance Center in NYC, Pineapple Studios in London and many more.
I can proudly say. I'm an award winning choreographer for the B. Iden Payne award for the production of "In the Heights" produced by Impact Arts.
As well as an extensive experience on and off the stage. Now, Im excited to be sharing all of the things I have learned through my career. Plant seeds of joy, happiness , hard work and Jesus all around.
